While on the subject of Trump as traitor, it is worth pointing out that Trump’s recent claim that Kim is loved by his people, can be construed as giving aid and comfort to America’s enemies.
Is North Korea America’s enemy? Consider that Trump threatened to destroy North Korea last Summer. But to judge from the Republican silence one would think North Korea was just another tinpot dictatorship where America has no skin in the game. Thirty seven thousand Americans were killed fighting the North Koreans. One would think that the Republicans would have raised objections when Trump praises Kim. But no, their silence is deafening.
Setting aside the murder of Otto Warmbier by the North Koreans, one would think that the “law and order” party would raise a whisper of dissent.
One would think that the same party that campaigned on the execution of Bowe Bergdahl would raise an eyebrow when Trump enthused about Kim. But of course they don’t. They don’t because they are rank hypocrites and because Bergdahl was a stand-in for Obama. Does racism explain this Republican spectacle? Was the outrage over Bergdahl simply because Obama is black?
A telling number might be the number of American military deaths after the end of open hostilities between North Korean and US forces. That number stands close to one hundred.
Where is the outrage for these hundred men when Trump lauds Kim?
