Helsinki and Putin

In light of the revelation that members of Putin’s security system participated in the hacking of the 2016 election, Donald Trump was urged to cancel his meeting with America’s top adversary.

Trump being Trump thought he knew best and went ahead and met with the murderous dictator of Russia.  What did Trump do in the meeting?  Well, he spent two hours behind closed doors, without any American witnesses to what was said between Trump and his apparent master.

Afterwards, Trump praised Putin and said that there was blame on both sides about the poor relationship between the America and Putin.

It is no surprise that the former CIA Director under Barack Obama has termed Trump’s behavior as imbecilic and treasonous.  John Brennan is correct in that it is past time to stop making excuses for Trump.  There is no subtlety, Trump is brazenly pro-Putin ahead of America’s interests.  This is what needs to be driven in the next election cycle:  that Trump and his allies are anti-American values.
