The US is kidnapping children

Trump’s zero tolerance policy has resulted in the separation of children from their parents.  The real reason Trump and Attorney General Sessions has been to dissuade any refugees from Central America.

But jailing asylum seekers and separating children from their parents has been a Trump signature move, designed to suppress future asylum seekers.  Trump is essentially holding these children hostage until his border wall is built.

The current view among experts is that among the 2,500 children awaiting reunification many of them may never be reunited with their parents.  This is an outrage with few parallels in modern American history.  Since when did the United States intentionally set out to separate children from their parents in order to achieve a political goal?

Trump has his dotard obsession with a border wall that will solve nothing, and he is intentionally keeping these children away from their parents until someone capitulates:  either Congress agrees to pay for the wall, or Mexico does, or the flux of refugees stops to zero.  As a man of no scruples and no morals, it is evident that Trump does this to satisfy his base of xenophobic deplorables.

But what are the rest of us to do?  Can we stand by and allow the tools of the American government to be used in such a way?  Where is the outrage among the Republican crowd of “family values?”
