Brett Kavanaugh is a proven liar. In Maryland, the drinking age in 1982 was 21. Yet, Kavanaugh told members of the senate–under oath–that when he was 17 years old he could drink legally because he had been grandfathered. What other lies did he tell the Senators? Vox has a remarkable illustration of how many times Kavanaugh prevaricated. Doesn’t Kavanaugh understand that there are literally hundreds of thousands of people in Maryland who were born the same year he was, and who remember that they could not drink legally when they went to high school in 1982?
Yes, the actual drinking age is a small lie, but a lie nonetheless. Given that Kavanaugh was one of the army of lawyers trying to impeach Bill Clinton over his lie over consensual sex, it is still a lie. As James Comey points out, little lies often point to larger lies. How important are those bigger lies? Well forcible rape comes to mind. According to one of Kavanaugh’s female acquaintances, the crew that Kavanaugh hung out with routinely got girls inebriated for the purpose of raping them. According to her testimony, “a train of numerous boys” would take turns raping these incapacitated girls.
While the statute of limitations may make these crimes impossible to prosecute, there should be no limit to the outrage that should follow if conservatives stood by their supposed values. And, like Trump, Kavanaugh has to lie in the extreme. This is why he told Fox News that he was a virgin in high school and for many years thereafter. The cocky Kavanaugh felt his lie to be so convincing that he asked that the transcript of the interview be entered onto the record, perjuring himself in the process. As someone who bragged in his yearbook about having engaged in menage-a-trois the question will remain as to when exactly it was that he was lying. Was he lying as a high school jock, or was he lying as a 53-year old man?
Were Kavanaugh to be appointed to the Supreme Court by the craven Republicans, there is no reason to expect he would be allowed to sit on the court for long. It is only a matter of time before more women publicly come forward to declare that Kavanaugh was as contemptible of them and their sexuality as he was of the Democratic members of the committee hearings. Kavanaugh is used to getting his way and there should be no doubt that when he was a young man he was capable of assaulting indefensible young women. These women will not remain silent. Besides the toxic masculinity in his high school, it is clear that Kavanaugh suffers from Madonna-whore complex. It is easy to see how he could have women claim that he has been a perfect gentleman to them, while at the same time he has treated other women like they were chattel.
Were Kavanaugh to be seated on the court, there is every possibility that he would be impeached in short order. The most recent impeachment procedures of a Supreme Court justice happened in 1969, when Abe Fortas was forced to resign over financial improprieties. Those crimes seem quaint when a current nominee to the Court stands accused of attempted rape. Even if Republicans manage to hold on to both the House and the Senate, the public outcry after more women come forward will make it impossible for there not to be an impeachment.
Wasn’t Trump supposed to know “the best people”?
I’ve been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I
never found any interesting article like yours.
It is pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all web owners

will be much more useful than ever before.
