Unbelievably, Trump said that North Korea “will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen.” American allies are wondering whether Trump understands that his behavior puts everyone in danger.
Trump’s incredibly stupid remarks have even set the Doomsday clock closer to midnight (i.e., human extinction).
To do so anytime is irresponsible and idiotic. To do so during the anniversary of the US nuclear bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki is lethal.
The only rejoinder we can think of is that Trump has unleashed jingoism and stupidity like the world has never seen.
